Detoxifying Foot Spa Treatments

Detox Foot Spa

Relax in a comfy chair and read your book with your feet soaking in a tub of warm water while an array pulls out toxins in ionic form from your whole body.  You will be able to see heavy metals after the ions group together in the water.  The color of the water is determined by the kind of toxins that are pulled out of your body.

Lymph Drainage Therapy

Perfect for those who prefer a lighter touch.  Using a combination of techniques created by Doctor Vodder and Doctor Chikley, I have created a wonderfully soothing therapy that stimulates lymph circulation to help move sluggish lymph.  This is perfect for people with lymphedema, fibromyalgia, post-surgery inflammation, and other conditions where medium pressure would be too painful.  If you do not have these conditions, you might prefer my regular massage, which also stimulates lymph circulation.

Miscellaneous Information

Public Hygiene

I diligently adhere to public hygiene laws for state-licensed estheticians and electrologists. I wash my hands for 20 seconds with soap and warm water and use a paper towel to touch doorknobs, etc. before your session.  I wash my hands before and after each massage and several times during each facial or electrolysis session.  All towels and sheets are washed in hot water at my home, not a laundromat.  The mat you step on to get to the massage table is cleaned after each use.  I never work barefoot.  I sterilize metal facial and electrolysis tools.  Non-metal tools are sanitized as mandated by the State of California.

I use Seventh Generation laundry detergent and cleaner.  I use mostly organic products.  I use dry-heat sterilization for metal tools so I do not have to use toxic chemicals as much. I try to buy locally in the Los Gatos/San Jose/Saratoga area when buying supplies.

Massage Oil

I use organic jojoba oil in glass bottles for your massage.  It absorbs into the skin quickly and does not leave a sticky residue.  It has antioxidants that are good for skin.  It is best to shower before, not after you have been anointed with pure essential oils in organic jojoba oil.  I provide a warm, moist towel to wipe away extra oil that has not been absorbed.  I can wrap your hair if that is a concern.

How Often?

How often you should schedule depends on your budget, of course, but ideally, about once a week for a massage to recharge your battery and keep you healthy so you are less prone to injury and sickness.  Facials can be done once a week to once a month.  Microdermabrasion and peels can be done bi-weekly or monthly in autumn and winter and at least two weeks before a big event.  I recommend scheduling your next appointment when you come in and making it a priority.

Your comfort is my highest priority.  I have narrowed down the reasons people tip or do not tip to four categories:.

1.  People who tip because they feel service workers depend on tips to make ends meet.

I am not an employee at a spa so I set my own prices.  I do not depend on tips so

do not tip me.

2.  People who tip because they think it is expected or they think service workers will be offended or give them a less quality massage or facial.

I do not expect tips.  I am not offended if someone does not tip me. I give the same great quality service to everyone whether they tip or not.  I do not judge my clients.  Do not tip me.

3.  People who do not tip because it is not their custom or they feel it is an antiquated custom or it is the custom to not tip business owners.

These are all valid reasons for not tipping.

4.  People who tip because it makes them feel good.  There are many people in the Los Gatos/ Saratoga/San Jose area who love being generous.   It is these people who made me rethink refusing tips.  I do not refuse tips nor do I expect them.

To get the day and time you want, you should schedule your massage, facial, detox foot spa, or electrolysis session at least three days in advance if you can commit to it.  If not, it is better to take your chances scheduling last minute.  Ideally, it is best to schedule weekly or bi-weekly when you come in and then make it a priority.  Please allow 24 hours notice for non-emergency cancelations or you will be charged or dropped from my clientele.  Please reschedule if you are sick.
